PROTECT II: Guidance Report for the improvement of data on gender-based violence against women in the European Union (2012)

The report raises awareness about the need for collection of gender-based data on violence against women at the national and European level and includes information on measuring the extent of gender-based violence in Europe. The following types of data are addressed: representative survey data, research data, and routine administrative data (e.g. police recorded data, criminal justice data, health services data, service provision data, among others). The report provides information on minimum standards of data collections and other recommendations for data collection.
