On the occassion of WAVE’s 30th anniversary, the 26th WAVE Conference entitled “From emergency support to violence prevention: 30 years of championing women’s rights” will take place in Vienna, Austria, from September 30th – October 1st 2024.

This year’s WAVE conference is organised by the WAVE office in cooperation with WAVE members from Austria, Association of Austrian Autonomous Women’s Shelters (AÖF), Network of Austrian Counseling Centres for Women and Girls (Netzwerk österreichischer Frauen- und Mädchenberatungsstellen), and Ninlil – Empowerment and Counselling for Women with Disabilities (Empowerment und Beratung für Frauen mit Behinderung), and will focus on prevention and the exploration of different practices and strategies employed by WAVE Members in tackling the root causes of violence against women and girls.
