WAVE Webinar: Launching New Research on Women’s Specialist Services

WAVE Network invites you to the first webinar in our series Knowledge into Power: Using WAVE Research for Feminist Advocacy. This session will launch WAVE’s newest research publications on women’s specialist services and explore how they can support advocacy and policy work across Europe.

In a political climate marked by increasing backlash against women’s rights, shrinking civil society space, and funding restrictions, access to strong data and evidence-based tools is more important than ever. This webinar introduces key resources designed to strengthen the case for women’s specialist services and improve support for survivors of gender-based violence.

Two major publications will be presented:

• Agents of Change: Women’s Specialist Services and Their Feminist, Multi-Level Approach to Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls
A new WAVE study highlighting why feminist, gender-specific services are essential and cannot be replaced by generic alternatives. Based on interviews and survey data from WAVE members.

• WAVE Country Report 2025
A comprehensive overview of women’s specialist services across Europe, covering 46 countries and benchmarking against the Istanbul Convention.

The webinar will also include key findings from WAVE’s Parallel Report to GREVIO.
