Welcome to the WAVE 16 Days of Activism 2024 campaign, as we reflect on our collective journey toward “Feminist Collective Liberation and Resilience”. This year, we celebrate 30 years of powerful feminist activism across Europe, amplifying the voices of survivors and those at the forefront of the fight to end violence against women and girls.
Our 2024 program showcases a series of podcasts, webinars, articles, and videos all centred on one crucial message: the power of collective action to prevent, tackle, and ultimately end violence against women and girls. As we honour 30 years of dedication and activism, we invite you to stand with us for liberation and a future without violence.
Join us in the WAVE 16 Days of Activism 2024 campaign, and let’s be the #WAVEofChange, united in #FeministCollectiveLiberation. Together, we can build a future where every woman and girl lives free from violence.
The WAVE Office is pleased to share the calendar of events for these 16 Days of Activism beginning November 25th on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and ending on December 10th on International Human Rights Day.
International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, WAVE reflects on 30 years of enduring commitment to ending violence against women and girls across Europe. This year’s 16 Days of Activism holds a dual significance for us. It is both a celebration of our collective journey toward Feminist Collective Liberation and Resilience, a moment to honour our shared history, recognise our present strength, and envision a future where every woman and girl lives free from violence, and a call to reflect deeply on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
