The WAVE Fempower Magazine 2026 is out now!
This year’s edition, “Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women and Girls: Feminist Responses in a Digital Age”, looks at how violence against women and girls continues and takes new forms in digital spaces. As platforms evolve and new forms of abuse emerge, women’s specialist services, advocates and researchers across Europe are working to name this harm, respond to it and push for lasting change.
Through seven contributions from WAVE members in Albania, Croatia, Germany, Latvia, Spain and the UK, the magazine covers digital coercive control, image-based abuse and online recruitment into trafficking. It also looks at the barriers that migrant women and women with cognitive disabilities face in digital spaces, and at how survivor knowledge can shape policy and political change. The contributions draw on frontline practice, research and policy analysis, and show the depth of feminist expertise within the network.
We warmly thank all contributing authors for sharing their expertise and experience, and everyone working every day to make both digital and offline spaces safe for women and girls.
We hope this edition informs, sparks discussion and strengthens our shared work towards a Europe free from violence against women and girls.
