We are excited to announce that the WAVE Youth Ambassadors initiative is now looking for its 5th generation of passionate youth activists!
Since October 2018, the WAVE Youth Ambassadors have served as a platform for young activists across Europe to lead the fight against violence and discrimination towards women and girls. By engaging youth in campaigning, advocacy, and decision-making, the program strengthens the feminist movement and promotes youth participation in the mission of preventing violence against women and girls.
Are you passionate about women’s rights, feminism and gender equality? Do you want to connect with like-minded young activists, develop your skills and contribute to change across Europe?
We want YOU to join us as a WAVE Youth Ambassador!
Who are we looking for?
You are:
- 18–26 years old and have a good command of English.
- Aware of the prevalence and impact of violence against women and girls, and motivated to challenge gender inequality.
- Willing to actively engage as a volunteer with a group of peers from across Europe over the next two years.
- Curious and motivated to learn, exchange ideas and develop new skills in the field of women’s rights.
- Interested in creating engaging content, raising awareness and sharing important messages with young people.
- Ready to bring your own perspectives, experiences and ideas to a diverse, feminist and supportive community.
What will you gain as a WAVE Youth Ambassador?
Being a WAVE Youth Ambassador is an opportunity to grow as an activist, connect with others and make your voice heard.
As part of the initiative, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build your skills and knowledge through capacity-building and learning opportunities related to women’s rights, violence against women and girls, advocacy, campaigning and communication.
- Connect with WAVE’s network of more than 2,000 women’s rights organisations across Europe.
- Learn from others and exchange experiences with peers working towards gender equality in different countries and contexts.
- Access WAVE’s expertise and resources to deepen your understanding of violence against women and girls and strengthen your advocacy.
- Turn your ideas into action by contributing to campaigns, creating content and exploring ways to raise awareness and mobilise young people.
- Make a difference within the feminist movement by bringing young people’s perspectives into WAVE’s work and helping shape conversations, priorities and responses to violence against women and girls.
What will you contribute?
As a WAVE Youth Ambassador, you will be part of a youth-led platform that works to amplify young voices across Europe. You will have opportunities to contribute to campaigns, advocacy initiatives and awareness-raising activities, share perspectives from your own context, and collaborate with other young activists.
The initiative is built on peer exchange, collective learning and meaningful youth participation. We encourage ambassadors to bring their creativity, ideas and experiences to the programme and to help shape its activities together.

Applicants selected for the second stage will be invited to an online interview, taking place between 16th and 20th November 2026.
