From 25th – 27th of September, the European Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) is holding its Fundamental Rights Forum in Vienna. Over three days, it will host open sessions, inspiring talks and panel debates aiming to reboot and foster human rights conversations. On the 25th WAVE Executive Manager, Stephanie Futter-Orel, and WAVE Co-founder & Director of the Domestic Violence Intervention Centre Vienna, Rosa Logar, are participating in a discussion session titled “#MeToo – A Global Movement to End Universal Human Rights Violations against Women. The session will be introduced by Dubravka Šimonović, United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women and Carmen Gheorghe of the E-Romanji Association for promoting Roma women in Romania. Peggy Hicks, Senior Director of the UN’s Human Rights Office (OHCHR), and Michael O’Flaherty, FRA Director and Chair of the Forum, will close the session.
